Tuesday 20th October - Fungal Forms - An experimental drawing workshop inspired by fungi

Join a relaxed and unusual drawing workshop for adults inspired by the fascinating shapes, textures and structures of fungi.

Using a collection of beautiful fungal forms and imagery as inspiration, you’ll explore observational drawing, looking closely at details such as gills, spores, stems, caps and intricate surface textures. You’ll experiment with line, tone, pattern and scale, discovering how something as familiar as a mushroom can become a fascinating subject for drawing.

The workshop will encourage you to look beyond simply creating a realistic study, instead using observation and experimentation to develop a more expressive finished artwork. Whether you’re completely new to drawing or already enjoy working with pencil and ink, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to explore your own style.

No previous experience is needed—just curiosity and an appreciation for the strange and beautiful world of fungi!
