Sunday August 2nd - Casting Day Workshop

Spend a creative and inspiring day exploring the process of casting botanical foliage in clay and creating beautiful plaster cast outcomes.

This hands-on day workshop begins with a short local group walk, where you’ll forage for leaves, grasses, and natural textures to use within your work. Back in the studio, you’ll learn how to press and cast botanical materials into clay before creating detailed plaster casts that capture the delicate patterns and forms found in nature.

Throughout the day, you’ll be guided step by step through the process in a relaxed and supportive environment, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop your own creative approach. Suitable for beginners and those with creative experience alike, this workshop encourages slow making, observation, and connection with natural materials.

Lunch at The Abernethy Nook is included, giving you time to pause, relax, and enjoy the day with the group.
